BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

The cleanup of the crash site of the UPS cargo plane has begun.

A crane arrived on Wednesday morning and was positioned by the nose of the plane. Large pieces of the fuselage and wings have been loaded into a big 18-wheeler truck. The tail of the plane has already been loaded up on a flatbed trailer.

While clean up continues, residents are planning to have a meeting tonight. They want answers from the Birmingham Airport Authority about why large planes are flying directly over their homes. They have several issues they want to address. That meeting will start at 6 p.m. at the Shields Conference Ccenter at Patton Park.
