MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The Alabama Department of Public Health is updating the numbers on those who have been tested for Tuberculosis after concern over the high number of Robert E. Lee High School students who haven't responded to the call to be tested.

So far, 61 of 148 people who need to be tested have done so.

ADPH officials are working to set up a meeting with Montgomery Public School Superintendent Barbara Thompson to discuss solutions to get the remaining students tested.

In regards to the first case of active TB found at Lee H.S., there were 27 outstanding students who had yet to report for testing as of Thursday.

A second student was diagnosed with an active case of TB around August 14th, but as of Thursday, ADPH says of the 119 students who had close contact with the second affected student, less than 25% of those identified reported for testing.

Those students who did not get tested by Friday will not be allowed to return to class until they do so.

If you are one of those who needs to be tested, you can do so at the Montgomery County Health Department.
