Passengers safe after flight has an emergency landing in AR

(WMC-TV) - An American Airlines flight en route from North Carolina to Dallas made an emergency landing in Little Rock Sunday because of engine trouble.

The spokesman for the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in Little Rock, Shane Carter, confirmed emergency crews were on hand and the plane landed safely.

135 people were on board, including passengers and flight crew. No one was injured.

Mechanics are working on the plane and passengers have been rerouted to other flights.
