CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Police say that a man who was shot three times in Cincinnati's West End was able to identify the shooter late Sunday evening.

Police responded to a shooting after 11:00 p.m. near Linn Street and Livingston Avenue.

Police were able to apprehend a suspect running from the scene. The suspect managed to throw a gun away in a trash can but the weapon was later recovered by officers.

The victim, who was shot three times, was able to identify the suspect and is currently in the hospital.

No names have been released at this time. FOX19 will continue to update the story as details become available.
