Alabama Attorney General Troy King warned people who are trying to cash in on hurricane victims, beware.
King says his office has received more than 150 complaints about possible price gouging in the last few days - mostly in southwest Alabama.
"I've deployed about 20 investigators already to the Gulf coast, and we have investigators on the way from other states coming to help in those efforts, we will vigorously pursue those who would break Alabama's price gouging law."
Most of the calls are coming in from Mobile and Baldwin counties, but King also says other areas may see gouging problems later - when people try to hire building contractors. He has set up two toll-free hotlines for people to report price gouging - 1-800-230-9485 and 1-800-392-5658.
