Lebanon murder suspects arrested in Michigan

LEBANON, TN (WSMV) -

Two suspects believed to be involved in a Lebanon murder were arrested Thursday in Michigan.

Derrick Carr and Shawn Betty Jr., wanted in connection with the murder of Andre Logue and shooting of Justin Johnson on Aug. 10, were both arrested by authorities in Michigan, according to Lebanon police.

Carr was arrested in Farmington Hills, MI, after giving police a false name during a traffic stop.

Police said Carr was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for suspicion of DUI.

Betty was in the car with Carr, but he also lied about his identity and had been released before his identity was discovered.

Betty was arrested later Thursday morning by U.S. Marshals in Detroit.

Carr and Betty, both age 20, were both charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, especially aggravated robbery and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon in connection with the incident on Dedman Street in Lebanon.

Lebanon police will attempt to extradite both back to Wilson County to stand trial on the charges.
