Reds thanking fans with Dollar Hot Dog Night

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

What's better than a nice night at Great American Ball Park?

A nice night at Great American Ball Park with $1 hog dogs.

The Cincinnati Reds announced details of Dollar Hot Dog Night in celebration of record-setting fan support. The event is scheduled for Thursday, September 5 during the 7:10 p.m. game against the St. Louis Cardinals.

"We are thanking the fans for getting us to $2 million tickets sold faster than any year in the history of this ballpark with a dollar dog night," said Reds COO Phil Castellini. "If this support continues, we're on pace to break the ballpark attendance record set in 2003." 

The $1 dogs will be available at all concession stands and from vendors around GABP (Mustard and ketchup included).

According to Reds officials, total attendance for 2013 through 64 games is 2,021,220. GABP's attendance record of 2,355,259 was set in the ballpark's inaugural season in 2003. 

Tickets are still available for the game. Fans can purchased tickets at www.reds.com/tickets, 513-381-REDS or 877-647-REDS (7337) or in person at several different locations.
