FAIRWAY, KS (KCTV) -
Zagat has come out with its list of the best sandwich in all 50 states and the results for Kansas and Missouri may, or may not, surprise you.
The rating guide put out their results Tuesday in celebration of National Sandwich Month.
"Every state has its own specialty dishes, but it's often the unique regional sandwiches you find all around the U.S. that best embody the spirit of each community and its local cuisine," Zagat wrote.
It may not come as a surprise to many that Oklahoma Joe's Z-Man was chosen for Kansas.
"A favorite among food critics and 'cue enthusiasts, this sandwich is worth the wait," Zagat wrote.
While maybe not as well known, the Missouri pick still has many mouths watering with the St. Paul at Park Chop Suey in St. Louis.
"The St. Paul consists of hot egg foo yong smothered in mayonnaise and pickle, topped with lettuce and tomato and served on white bread," Zagat wrote.
