Death of Clarksville infant remains mystery

CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The death of a Clarksville infant still remains a mystery.

Police said a family member found 8-month-old Abigail Pamblonco unconscious at the family's home last Thursday. She was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Pamblonco died at the hospital Wednesday, according to police.

The Department of Children's Services had previous contact with the family, but the reason has not been released.

Clarksville Police's Special Operations Unit is investigating the death.
