GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Greenville man was arrested after officers said he called 911 several times for no real reason other than to insult and curse dispatch and police.

Greenville police spokesman Johnathan Bragg said Timothy Jones called 911 several times on Sunday and finally officers went to his Wedgewood Drive home about the calls.

During the calls, Bragg said Jones used profanity towards law enforcement.

When officers arrived, Bragg said it took them awhile to get him to answer the door. Once he did, Bragg said they arrested him on a charge of unlawful use of 911.
