Driver injured after smashing van into Overland Park bank

OVERLAND PARK, KS (KCTV) -

A driver was injured Monday after he smashed his van into an Overland Park bank.

The accident happened about noon at the U.S. Bank building on 119th Street just west of 69 Highway.

Police said the 45-year-old man blacked out while he was making a turn. Officers were not sure if the man blacked out from a medical condition or fell asleep momentarily.

The man sustained a bump on his head and was not taken to a hospital.
