NASHVILLE, TN (WAFF) -

The woman accused of stealing a Fayetteville police car and crashing it into an SUV and a gas station, killing one man, has been released from the hospital and arrested by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.

Misty Shelton was released from Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville Wednesday afternoon. Sheriff's deputies arrested Shelton and charged with vehicular homicide, felony evading, theft and violation of probation.

Shelton was transported by ambulance to the Tennessee Department of Corrections for Women in Nashville, where she will be housed due to her medical condition.
