CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

With the return of school, burglaries in the area around UC have begun to reappear.

Officers say the majority of offenses are occurring on Sunday, Monday, and Thursday between the hours of noon to 6 p.m.

Officers remind you to please lock all doors and windows to your residence or apartment at all times, even if only leaving for a short duration.

If hosting a party at your residence, police advise that you know all your visitors as often unknown and uninvited "party guests" are actually looking for valuables such as computers, tablets, and cell phones.

Officers say these offenders will then return later to burglarize your residence and take those items.
