A deadly wreck has shut down part of a Shawnee, KS, intersection Thursday afternoon.

The wreck happened at 74th Street and Nieman Road about 3:30 p.m. and Major Bill Hisle with the Shawnee Police Department said at least one street will be closed through rush hour.

Chopper 5 flew over the scene and a single car was seen laying on its top next to a light pole. Police said one person was in the car when it flipped, killing the adult driver.
