Troy and LSU to meet in 2017 in Tiger Stadium

Troy will travel to Baton Rouge, La., on Sept. 30, 2017, for a game against LSU in Tiger Stadium, Athletic Director John Hartwell announced Friday afternoon. It will be the third meeting between the schools.

Troy held fourth quarter leads over LSU in each of the first two meetings of the series, but the Tigers were able to pull out narrow victories in both games. The two previous meetings were decided by a combined 13 points; 24-20 in 2004 and 40-31 in 2008.

The game at LSU is Troy's second scheduled contest for the 2017 season as the Trojans begin their home-and-home series with Boise State that year.

Troy hosts Savannah State on Saturday in Veterans Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN3. Tickets for the game can be purchased online at TroyTrojans.com or by calling 1-877-878-WINS.
