Armed robbery suspect targets east side bank

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Tucson Police are searching for an armed robbery suspect who targeted an east side bank Friday just after 2 p.m.

Detectives said an unknown male suspect entered the U.S. Bank in the 7600 block of E. Broadway, pointed a gun at bank workers and customers, forced them to the ground and demanded money from an employee.

He fled with an undisclosed amount of money before police arrived on scene, according to TPD officials. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

He is described as Caucasian, between 45 and 55 years old with gray hair, 6' to 6'3" tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a dark blue pullover with a red stripe on the chest and

arms, blue jeans, a baseball hat and dark sunglasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
