KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A Kansas City Water Services Department employee doing work Sunday was shocked and rushed to the hospital Sunday afternoon.

Jennifer Kincaid, spokeswoman for the department, said the worker was alert and talking when transported to the hospital. She said Sunday night that the worker was given a clean bill of health and released from the hospital.

The incident occurred just before 2:30 p.m. in the 5200 block of North Sycamore Drive.

Kincaid did not immediately know the circumstances that led to the shocking.
