MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Members of Montgomery's 908th Airlift Wing are returning home to Alabama following an overseas mission.

Lt. Col. Jerry Lobb says approximately a dozen members of the 908th started coming home Monday. More were set to arrive Tuesday and Wednesday.

Lobb says the members, part of medical staff including flight nurses and medical technicians, are coming back in 1s and 2s on various flights.

Part of their duties include providing care in flight for those who are injured. Lobb says they often volunteer their off time at hospitals where they are deployed.

This overseas mission lasted six months.
