(WMC-TV) - A West Memphis woman's home is overrun with rubbish, but she says she is not a hoarder.

City leaders have ordered her to clean up or else, but the so-called hoarder is clearly attached to much of her stuff.

The top of a station wagon is barely visible beneath a mountain of rubbish in Julia Stricker's back yard. The front yard she watches over is a more orderly after the West Memphis City Council unanimously approved a resolution ordering the clean up

Julia Stricker said her husband was the hoarder. He died of a heart attack inside their home. She says most of the stuff was his.

The council unanimously passed a resolution last week giving Stricker 30 days to clean up. Members cited city code regarding litter, debris, and other unsightly items.

Mayor Bill Johnson reported that utility crews had a difficult time reaching the meter the last time it was checked, and that the property posed a potential health hazard for neighbors.

In addition to her collection, Stricker says she has five cats. The animal shelter has reportedly been out to check on them.

"I don't mind cleaning up. In fact, I got rid of a lot of things I should have gotten rid of ... It's just me now," said Stricker.

Stricker says two strokes made it a struggle to move things around. Family members are helping, but they live out of town.

A couple of Stricker's neighbors said they had no issue with her.
