CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A day of remembrance was held at Great American Ball Park on the 12th anniversary of the September 11th attacks.

Prior to the Cincinnati Reds game against the Chicago Cubs, local honor guard representatives presented the flag on the field and sang the national anthem.

In addition, a piece of steel from the World Trade Center was on display outside of the ballpark for visitors.

The flag at Great American was flown at half mast Wednesday in honor of the nearly 3,000 lives lost that day.
