Area golf outing raises $105K for Ronald McDonald House

NEWTOWN, OH (FOX19) -

Pep, a Cincinnati-based agency for marketing promotions, raised $105,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati (RMHC) during their annual golf outing.

RMHC provides a "home away from home" for families and their children who are receiving treatment at Cincinnati Children's Hospital or other area hospitals.

Over the years, Pep has organized employee volunteer opportunities with Cincinnati's Ronald McDonald House. In 2011, company officials say they made a plan to contribute more.

The charity event was held at the Ivy Hills Country Club. Approximately $30,000 were raised during the first Pep Charity Golf Outing, and organizers say in 2012 they raised $100,000.

"It has been a blessing to work with the Ronald McDonald House over the years, and we look forward to continuing to be a part of their family" said Tim Drost, Director of Supplier Partnerships, who serves as the golf outing chairperson. "We had another fantastic golf outing supporting The House with our $105,000 raised this year. We know our contribution helps a great organization, but most importantly, it helps the children and families we have had the pleasure of meeting over the years."

Pep representatives presented a check to RMHC at an awards banquet following the golf outing.
