TALLADEGA COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

We all know that some Alabama and Auburn fans will do anything to show their love for their team. But what about dyeing a dog?

The president of an elite group of pet stylists and groomer has transformed one of her Standard Poodles into a living, breathing symbol of Bama.

"Oona absolutely loves the attention. She loves the attention whether she's in color or not, but of course the color draws more attention which makes her a happier girl," Oona's owner, Amy "Bullet" Brown said.

Brown is the president of the National Association of Professional Creative Groomers, an elite group of highly-trained groomer who use only safe, animal-friendly products.

"We love creative grooming, we have groomers all over the world, but our first priority is always the safety of the pet. There is no groom that is worth the health and safety of the pet," Brown said.

So Oona's fancy Bama 'do only lasted a day, but the crimson dye can last up to nine months. She sported the colors when she went to a shelter in Sylacauga called Arf. For a donation, people could pose with Oona for a picture.

As much as Brown enjoys the more creative side of grooming, she says her best work is done when she closes once a month to groom the Arf shelter dogs.

"They do everything they can, but they don't always have time to professional groom 50 to 100 to 200 pets, so we close our shelter and do that for them, anything we can do to get those dogs a home," Brown said.
