TROY, AL (WSFA) -

The Troy Police Department is confirming what many had already suspected following the discovery Wednesday of a bond in an area pond.

The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences identified the body as being that of missing Troy resident Robert Earl Teague. The 44-year-old went missing on Saturday, September 14.

Teague was last seen on Diana Street, the same street where landscaper and Pike County Commissioner Homer Wright discovered the remains while cutting grass.

The Troy Police Department says no foul play is suspected in Teague's death, but the case remains under investigation.
