HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A motorcyclist was seriously injured after an overnight wreck in Huntsville.

Police said the wreck happened around 11:15 p.m. Thursday at the I-565/Memorial Parkway interchange.

According to authorities, the motorcyclist crashed and was thrown ten feet off his bike. He was transported by HEMSI to Huntsville Hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators said alcohol was a possible factor in the wreck.
