OPELIKA, AL (WSFA) -

It's not very often that we let WSFA 12 News Sports Director Jeff Shearer out of the building on Friday nights. A panic would ensue around 1014:30 when we start rolling the Fever opening!

But tonight, we're making an exception. We've packed Jeff, some lights, mics and a desk into a tiny little SUV, filled his gas tank and sent him East. Destination: Opelika.

Why, you ask? Because Jeff has the Fever and he needed to get out of the building!

Jeff, along with the Carver Wolverines are making the hour-long trek to Lee County where Carver's boys will try to take down the Bulldogs of O-Town in a battle of the unbeatens.

Friday's show will be broadcast from Opelika's Bulldog Stadium. Sports anchor Steven Gunter and his "Gunter Annex" report will also be a feature of tonight's coverage.

We hope you're planning to join us for our coverage of tonight's Carver/Opelika on TV and in person! Say hello and feel free to send a picture back to us by posting it on our Facebook or Twitter pages.

As always, we'll have highlights from many of the teams around Fever Country. Make sure you send your scores to us!
