MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

The Madison County Sheriff's Office located a K-9 that went missing around 1:45 a.m. Saturday morning.

In the Inspiration Point subdivision in Meridianville, Sheriff's K-9 "Czar" went missing in a wooded area and possibly by the creek near the area's church. Czar is a male, a black and tan Malinois dog wearing only a silver chain collar. The K-9 was not wearing any identification tags. Czar is fully trained in K-9 patrol functions and has been with the Sheriff's Office for two years.

Deputies found the K-9 around 12:45 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Authorities said Czar was found safe.
