FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -

Florence police are investigating a weekend robbery at the Always Money store on Cox Creek Parkway. It happened around 12:30 Saturday afternoon just a short time before the business closed.

Police said there's a possibility the robbery could be connected with an attempted bank robbery earlier this month.

Investigators said a man wearing a skeleton mask walked into the store with a bag, showed his gun and demanded money. The clerk filled the bag and the man left on foot. No customers were in the store and the employee was not hurt.

If you know anything about Saturday's robbery please call police at (256) 760-6610..
