GLENDALE, AZ (CBS5) -

Two motorcyclists were lucky to be alive after they collided at a Glendale intersection early Thursday morning.

Both were taken to hospitals and were expected to survive, said Tracy Breedon of the Glendale Police Department.

A friend of one of the victims who went to the scene said neither motorcyclist was wearing a helmet when the bikes collided at 47th and Olive avenues.

No other information was immediately available.
