STRONGSVILLE, OH (WOIO) -

Officials at Strongsville High School canceled classes on Monday after a bomb threat was received.

Shortly after 7 a.m., police responded to the high school to investigate menacing graffiti spray painted on the front of the school building. The graffiti did include the word "bomb."

Although there was no credible information to warrant any validation of the threat, school officials decided to evacuate the students while the police conducted a sweep of the building.

In addition to the high school, the elementary school and preschool were also closed on Monday. 19 Action News has learned the elementary and preschool classes were canceled due to a bussing issue. There were no threats at those schools.

The middle school remained open.

An investigation is underway.
