Police: Tattooed man dragged teen into playground, raped her

ROCK HILL, SC (WBTV) -

Police in Rock Hill are investigating after a teenage girl told officers that a tattooed man dragged her into an area playground and raped her.

According to a Rock Hill police report, an 18-year-old woman told police she was on the curb in front of the playground on University Drive on Wednesday night around 10:40 p.m.

She reportedly sent a text to her mother to come and pick her up when a man with a swastika tattoo on his left arm jumped out of the bushes and grabbed her by the hair.

That's when she told police he dragged her into the playground and forced her to have sex.

She was taken to the Piedmont Medical Center where she was treated for her injuries.

Officer say they found her pink flip flop at the playground. Her clothes were collected by police as evidence.

The playground is at the site of the former York Preparatory Academy and Trinity Christian School.

Police told WBTV they are still investigating the incident and have not seen any similar incidents.
