AVONDALE, AZ (CBS5) -

Four people were shot and wounded at a party in Avondale Sunday morning, police said.

Two of the victims were in critical condition at St. Joseph's Hospital. Two others were in stable condition at a local hospital.

Gunshots rang out inside a unit at Versante Apartments at 11120 W. Van Buren St. just after 6 a.m., said Avondale police Sgt. Brandon Busse.

Busse said there is no information yet about the suspect. Detectives continue to interview witnesses.

At least 15 people, all over 18 years old, were at the gathering when the shooting erupted, Busse said.

"We don't know what transpired to cause the shooting," Busse said.
