TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A man accused of killing a motorcyclist during a head-on crash in August is set to stand trial.

David Robinson, 39, is currently being charged with failure to stop. Police say he hit 32-year-old motorcyclist Jason Alexander after traveling left of center of the lane near Douglas and Ida Roads in west Toledo.

Police say after Robinson hit Alexander, he fled the scene on foot and was later arrested near Miracle Mile Shopping Center on Laskey Road. Police also say Robinson has had multiple run-ins with the law, including various drinking, drug and traffic offenses.

Police say they are working on bringing Robinson up on more severe charges.
