PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A 21-year-old woman is dead and her husband on the run after she was shot during an apparent domestic violence incident in Phoenix on Sunday night.

Police were looking for the woman's husband, Ismael Perez-Barraza, 23, who fled the scene near 75th Avenue and Indian School Road in a green Nissan Titan pickup truck with Arizona license plate 520-WCT, Phoenix police Sgt. Steve Martos said.

Sandra Perez was shot about 7:30 p.m. and died early Monday morning at a Phoenix hospital.

The couple were married about 18 months and have a 2-month-old child, Martos said. The child was at home but not harmed during the incident.

Martos said anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (480-948-6377) or 911.

No other information was immediately available.
