From: The U.S. Marshals Service;

The U.S. Marshals Service and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office are seeking assistance from the public in locating John Joseph "Jay" Kloss III.


Kloss is wanted by the JCSO on two counts of first degree sodomy on a child less than 12 years old and one count of second degree sodomy on a child. Kloss was indicted by a Jefferson County Grand Jury in March of 2008.


Prior to fleeing in 2008, Kloss indicated he would never be located by law enforcement.
Kloss has extensive experience with computers and electronics and has worked as an IT engineer and a game developer. He was also briefly employed as a residential alarm installer in 2000 and worked for an airport refueling planes after high school. Kloss has experience as a HAM Radio operator and has experience broadcasting HAM Radio over the internet using online repeaters. He has some outdoors experience with specific knowledge of horseshoeing. Kloss has indicated in the past that he is of Scottish heritage and believes he is a descendant of Rob Roy MacGregor.


Kloss, 55, is a 6'1" white male with blue eyes and brown hair. Kloss was last known to weigh approximately 225 lbs.


Do not attempt to apprehend or approach Kloss. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the USMS by calling 1-800-336-0102. A cash award is being offered for information directly leading to the apprehension of Kloss.
