GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

After a flurry of interest from FOX Carolina viewers, one viewer is giving us a look at her 1-year-old son learning to use his first wheelchair.

Abby Wallis Banks contributed to our Good Vibes segment over the weekend.

She said her son Wyatt was diagnosed with an auto-immune disease that attacks the spinal cord earlier this year, which has left him paralyzed from the chest down.

Banks said her son is right now in rehab at a hospital in Maryland.

Banks told FOX Carolina her therapist has praised her son's progress so far and said that he was the youngest person they had ever seen self-propel a wheelchair.
