CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A 21-year-old man has been indicted in the murder of a 2-month-old baby.

Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph Deters announced on Tuesday that Daniel McClure has been indicted for the death of Tyrell Key.

Police say that the indictment stems from an incident on October 1. Authorities responded to the 400 block of West 9th Street shortly after midnight. Upon arrival, officers say they found McClure holding the limp baby in his hands.

The baby was transported to Cincinnati Children's Hospital where he was placed on life support. Police say the baby died later that day.

The Hamilton County Coroner ruled the death a homicide as a result of a blunt force injury to the head.

McClure was the boyfriend of Tyrell's mother. Police say McClure was babysitting for the mother prior to the 911 call. Officers say McClure was alone with the baby at the time.

McClure has been charged with felonious assault, child endangering, two counts of murder and aggravated murder.
