PRAIRIE VILLAGE, KS (KCTV) -

Police said one person is dead and two others are injured after a wreck in Prairie Village.

Family members said the woman killed was Tiffany Mogenson.

Prosecutors have charged Roy Lee Maney, 31, of Shawnee, with involuntary manslaughter and driving under the influence.

Maney is being held in the Johnson County Jail with bond set at $200,000.

The four-vehicle wreck happened shortly before 1 p.m. at 75th Street and Roe Avenue.

Witnesses said it sounded like a vehicle was going very fast and the driver tried to slam on their brakes.

"I was in my house and I heard squealing. I came out, there was kind of a cloud of smoke and then as it cleared I saw the guy run," said Natasha Kiel. "It looked like a mess. I mean the car was in three parts, all of the cars have big dents in them."

"There was a cop car within at least three seconds after it happened and what I've learned is the black Mercedes he was just hauling, going at least 100 and the cop was following him, but he saw he was going to run the red light so he pulled back and the Mercedes hit the silver car and that's a fatality, he clipped these outer two cars," Ethan Payeur said. "The driver of the Mercedes got out and started running, but they caught him."

Police said officers saw the black vehicle driving very fast and, when they came over a hill, they saw the wreck. An initial investigation shows that the Mogenson, the driver of the silver car, was stopped at the traffic light when she was struck by the black Mercedes. The silver car then struck a truck that was going through the intersection and the Mercedes proceeded to hit another vehicle in the intersection.

Mogenson was pronounced dead at the scene.

"She was the love of my life. The lesson in this is we all need to love as much as we can while we're together," said Mike Mogenson, Tiffany's husband, in a written statement.

Her family said Tiffany Mogenson was a beautiful person who positively touched so many others' lives. They ask for privacy during this time of grieving.

Tiffany Mogenson owned and ran a dance studio in Blue Springs, MO. She had been dancing for almost all of her life, including while in college at Mizzou. She was also a Kansas City Chiefs cheerleader and the director of the Missouri Mavericks Spirit Squad.

Officers saw the driver try to run from the scene, but they arrested him about four blocks later. Court records show Maney's court date will be Tuesday afternoon where he is expected to be charged with vehicular homicide.

A look at Maney's criminal background shows he most recently pleaded no contest to speeding in Johnson County in 2011. In 2001, he was found guilty of assault. In 1999, Maney had another traffic infraction and was also charged with not having insurance or a driver's license. He was found guilty on all of those. In 1997, he pled guilty to theft.
