SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM/AP) -

A late night crash on I-291 sent four children to the hospital, and the driver of the vehicle was charged with DUI.

Massachusetts State Police told CBS 3 that the crash happened at about 11:45 p.m. on Saturday.

The vehicle was in the westbound lanes of I-291, near Exit 3.

Troopers said the car carrying the children collided with another car and flipped over.

Police said the four children, ages 1 to 10, were taken to Baystate Medical Center and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The man driving the turned over car with the children was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

His name has not been released.

A woman driving the other car wasn't injured.
