NORTHSIDE, OH (FOX19) -

Police are searching for a suspect accused of assaulting a local business owner attempting to make a bank deposit in Northside.

Authorities say the victim was walking with a deposit from Schaeper's Pharmacy on October 4. The suspect allegedly grabbed him and threw him to the ground before snatching the bank deposit and taking off.

The incident happened on Hamilton Avenue and was witnessed by several people who began to chase the suspect.

Police say he then ditched the deposit bag and jumped into a gray or silver Ford Explorer with a right tail light out.

Anyone with information regarding the incident should call Crime Stoppers at 352-3040.  All calls are anonymous and callers may be eligible for a cash reward.
