CASA GRANDE, AZ (CBS5) -

Pinal County sheriff's deputies said they have arrested a man suspected of stealing at least one and possibly two vehicles.

A PCSO spokesman said Zeppelin Anderson, 42, who was considered an investigative lead in two stolen vehicle cases, was arrested Oct. 16 as he tried to sneak out of a shed in the backyard of his Casa Grande house.

He had two fully loaded .45-caliber magazines in his front pants pocket, the spokesman said.

Zeppelin admitted to detectives he was not legally allowed to possess a firearm, and said he had borrowed a gun from a friend to go shooting, gave the gun back, but forgot about the magazines.

A search warrant later uncovered 627 live ammunition rounds at the house, the spokesman said.

Anderson was booked into the Pinal County Jail for misconduct involving a weapon, theft of means of transportation and possession of stolen property, the spokesman said.

Deputies, acting on a tip that Anderson was driving a stolen Dodge Ram pickup truck, went to his Casa Grande house Oct. 12 and found a Dodge pickup truck partially covered by a tarp behind a fence in the driveway, the spokesman said.

A license plate check showed the truck had been reported stolen from a residence in Maricopa, the spokesman said.

Selia Hernandez, 30, answered when deputies knocked on the front door and said Anderson was not there and also said she had no knowledge of the truck.

Hernandez was arrested and booked into jail for outstanding warrants from a prior case and for failing to appear for a court hearing, the spokesman said.

Deputies also found a 1992 Chevrolet van that had been stripped of a parts and reported stolen from a business in Stanfield.

The Dodge truck was returned to its owner, the spokesman said.
