Tamara Walker is in custody after police say she stole a vehicle with a 9-year-old child still inside.

Walker is charged with abduction, failure to comply and theft.

Police say that the vehicle, a white Kia Soul, was stolen outside of Tina's Carryout and Restaurant in the 1600 block of Walnut Street.

The 9-year-old child was in the back seat of the vehicle when it was stolen. The child was then dropped off, unharmed, at Eighth and Vine Streets in Over-the-Rhine.

The child has since been reunited with it's parents.

Police were able to track the vehicle to Gilbert Street where the driver refused to pull over and a chase ensued.

After a head on crash at McMillan and Essex Streets, the suspect attempted to flee the scene on foot but was apprehended.

No one was seriously injured in the crash.
