PRAIRIEVILLE, LA (WAFB) -

Ascension sheriff's deputies are looking for a woman that stole a wallet while in a Prairieville grocery store.

According to reports, the suspect took the wallet from a purse in Winn-Dixie.

A credit card from the wallet was later used at the same store for a $500 gift card.  A second credit card was used at the Walmart and Walgreen's in Prairieville for gift cards totaling $3,000.

The gift cards were later used in the New Orleans area.

The same suspect is accused of stealing a wallet at the Goodwill store on Airline Hwy. in Gonzales, then trying to use a credit card at the Walgreen's on Airline Hwy. in Gonzales.
