PINAL COUNTY, AZ (CBS5) -

Authorities have caught two men who admitted to being in the U.S. illegally after they outran deputies in a car containing urine-filled water bottles.

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office said deputies tried to stop a 2008 Chrysler for a traffic violation just before 1 p.m. Saturday on Highway 84 eastbound near Stanfield Road.

The driver pulled over, but as the sergeant walked up to the vehicle, it took off.

The sergeant ran back to his vehicle and chased after the suspects at high speeds on Montgomery Road, Interstate 8, Stanfield and then into the Tohono O'Odham reservation on Federal Route 42.

The sergeant lost track of the vehicle but later found the car abandoned on the dam road east of Federal Route 42.

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu said K-9 units from PCSO and U.S. Border Patrol were able to find the suspects hiding in cotton fields about a mile away.

Jose Antonio Vizcarra, 25, and Victor Zuniga Barraz, 30, both of Mexico, were taken into custody and admitted to being in the U.S. illegally.

Vizcarra admitted to driving the vehicle that had water bottles filled with urine, two bottles of laundry detergent, numerous air fresheners, numerous cell phone chargers and empty food packages.

Vizcarra was booked into the Pinal County Jail for unlawful flight and Barraz was turned over to the U.S. Border Patrol to be deported.
