MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Officials from the Air National Guard, the Montgomery Fire Department and elsewhere participated in a disaster preparedness drill at the Montgomery Regional Airport Tuesday morning.
The airport's Executive Director Phil Perry told the Montgomery Advertiser (http://on.mgmadv.com/16oaShk) the exercise would feature responders performing a rescue drill involving passengers with simulated injuries in a regional jet on a closed runway.
Perry says the mass casualty exercise is executed once every three years and Tuesday's drill was expected to be the most realistic one the airport has hosted so far.
