OAKBROOK, KY -

A Florence father succumbs to injuries sustained in a crash last week.

Authorities say 37-year-old Chad Aylor of Florence was driving his truck westbound on Pleasant Valley Road (KY-237) when he crossed the center line and drove off the left side of the roadway.

His family says on a support Facebook page that Aylor was on his way to work.

Aylor's truck hit a line of trees and came to a stop in a resident's front yard.

According to the Boone County Sheriff's Office, he was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered head and neck injuries. He was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he died on Tuesday night.

The accident remains under investigation. Reconstructionists said there was no reason to believe speed or intoxicants contributed to the crash.
