BARTLETT, TN -

(WMC-TV) - Memphians could learn how an infant ended up dead in a dumpster Thursday, according to investigators.

Bartlett police are hoping to bring clarity to the case after obtaining a search warrant.

A medical examiner has been working to determine how the baby died.

Officials confirmed a married couple found the deceased infant in a bag near Germantown Road and Highway 64 while out jogging. They called police.

Officers stated they do know who the mother of the baby is.

However, at this point, no one has been charged in this case. Neither the name of the mother nor the names of suspects have been released.
