CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -

Right now, more than 700 customers are without power in Chesterfield following an early morning crash.

Police tell us around 2:30 a.m. Sunday a vehicle ran off the road striking a power pole near  Jessup and Turner roads and knocking out power to nearby customers.

Crews have been working to restore service for nearly ten hours. Officials say they hope to have electricity restored by 2:00 p.m. Sunday.

No word on injuries or charges related to this accident.
