In 2012, Emma was the most popular name for newborn girls and William for newborn boys in Cincinnati, according to the Cincinnati Health Department's Vital Records Office.

William remained at the top spot for boys while Olivia, the previous top name for girls, didn't even make the list.

Below is a list of a top most popular boys' and girls' names for babies born in Cincinnati to Cincinnati residents in 2012:
