NORTH COLLEGE HILL, OH (FOX19) -

A frost and fog covered windshield is being blamed for an accident that injured a College Hill teen.

Around 7:40 Tuesday morning, police say Tristan Roberts, 15, was hit by a van that was turning right while walking across Galbraith Road on his way to North College Hill High School.

Police say the driver of the van, Stephanie Underwood, couldn't see Roberts because her windshield was partially covered with frost and fog.

Investigators released that Underwood had a green light but Roberts had a walk sign, so she should have given him right of way.

Roberts is in stable condition at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
