2 adults, 2 teens arrested after stolen SUV police chase

Four people are apprehended after police chase a vehicle in Warren County that was reported stolen.

On Tuesday afternoon, Warren County deputies attempted to stop a Honda CRV that was reported stolen from Kettering.

They initially observed the stolen vehicle traveling south on Interstate 75 near the 36 mile post, in Franklin Township.

Deputies say the driver, Deontay Roberson, 20, ignored the deputies and a chase began.

The pursuit continued south on Interstate 75 to S.R. 63, where the stolen vehicle proceeded west into Monroe.

The pursuit continued through Monroe and eventually back into Warren County, where it ended on a dead end street in the Thorny Acres subdivision in Franklin Township.

Officers say all five males that were inside the SUV ran away.

Officers from three law enforcement divisions were able to find four of the five suspects a short time later. Deputies charged the driver, Deontay Roberson, with failure to comply, resisting arrest, receiving stolen property, possession of drugs and improper handling of a firearm.

A passenger, Michael Roberson, 18, is charged with obstructing official business and resisting arrest.

According to the release, the other two apprehended individuals are juveniles and were charged and incarcerated but details of those charges were not released.

The fifth occupant was not apprehended or identified at this point. The release stated that Roberson and one of the juveniles will face charges in Kettering for the theft of the CRV.
